Nutritional Therapy Practitioner • Restorative Wellness Practitioner
Functional nutrition specialist using MRT food sensitivity testing and the LEAP protocol to find out what is really causing your symptoms.
Why I Do This Work
Living with chronic conditions is incredibly hard. I’ve been there myself, and I know that healing is possible.
You deserve to feel good in your body. I’ve dedicated my work to helping you heal by finding out where the problem started, instead of just putting a band-aid on your symptoms.
This work takes time and commitment, but getting your life back is worth it.
My Approach
I look at the big picture to see how your whole body works together. Because all disease starts in the gut, most of our work begins right there in your digestive system.
“Over 70% of the body’s immune cells are located in the gut. Disruptions in the microbiome — imbalances in gut bacteria or increased intestinal permeability — can weaken the immune system and lead to chronic inflammation and autoimmune disorders. This is why I focus on digestive health as the foundation for whole-body healing.”
Your digestive tract does a lot more than just process food. It controls your nervous system, hormones, immune response, and how your body detoxifies itself. When the gut is inflamed, the rest of your body gets into trouble.
Nervous System
Your gut and brain are directly connected. When your gut bacteria get out of balance, they can release endotoxins that travel straight to your brain. This sparks inflammation that leads to things like brain fog and mood disorders (Mayer, Tillisch, & Gupta, 2015).
Immune System
Over 70% of your immune system lives in your gut. If your digestion isn’t working right because of things like stress or low stomach acid, poorly digested food particles stick around and fuel inflammation. This puts a huge strain on your immune system over time (Kinashi & Hase, 2021).
Endocrine System
Having the wrong bacteria in your gut makes it hard for your body to process estrogen and other hormones. Eating a nutrient dense, high-fiber diet gives your body what it needs to detoxify these hormones properly (Bull & Plummer, 2014).
Detoxification
Your liver relies on specific vitamins and minerals to clear out toxins. If your digestion is impaired, your body can’t absorb those nutrients, and your liver can’t do its job.
Why I Use MRT Testing
Food sensitivities are a major cause of chronic inflammation, but they are easy to miss. Food allergies happen right away, but sensitivities can take up to three days to show symptoms. That makes it nearly impossible to figure out what is causing your reaction just by guessing or trying a basic elimination diet.
The Mediator Release Test (MRT) tests how your immune system reacts to 176 different foods and chemicals. It shows us exactly which ones cause your white blood cells to release inflammatory chemicals like histamine. This tells us what you need to avoid so we can build a plan based on your own biology.
Once we take away the foods that spark your inflammation, your gut can finally start to heal. Since everything is connected to digestion, fixing your gut often clears up other things like fatigue, joint pain, skin breakouts, and brain fog.
Working Together
We will work together to find out exactly what is going on inside your body. By using functional testing, we can find the real source of your symptoms and create a plan that gives your body exactly what it needs to heal.
“I have always lamented the fact that doctors and conventional medicine can do little to catch a disease before it crosses the point of no return. When I learned about functional testing and how it has the potential to identify imbalances before they become a chronic condition it sounded like something I just had to learn everything about.”
“I believe in you, and I know that you can heal and take control of your health.”
