Your First 14 Days on LEAP: ImmunoCalm Phase Guide
Your First 14 Days on LEAP: The ImmunoCalm Phase Guide
You’ve received your MRT test results and you’re ready to start the LEAP protocol. The first 14 days โ called the ImmunoCalm phase โ are the most important. This guide walks you through exactly what to expect, how to prepare, and how to build meals from your safest foods.
Before You Begin: Reading Your Results
Your MRT results classify each of the 176 tested substances into three categories:
- ๐ข Green (Non-Reactive) โ These are your foundation foods. You’ll eat exclusively from this list during ImmunoCalm
- ๐ก Yellow (Moderate Reactivity) โ Set these aside. They’ll be reintroduced one at a time in Phase 2
- ๐ด Red (Reactive) โ Eliminate completely for a minimum of 3-6 months
Your Certified LEAP Therapist will help you identify your safest starting foods โ typically 20-25 items from your Green list.
Week 1: Days 1-7 โ Building Your Foundation
Day 1-2: The Transition
- Begin eating ONLY from your Green-rated foods
- Remove all Red and Yellow foods from your kitchen to avoid temptation
- Drink plenty of water (filtered if possible)
- You may experience mild withdrawal symptoms (headache, fatigue, irritability) โ this is normal and typically resolves within 48-72 hours
- Start your symptom journal โ record energy, mood, digestion, pain, and sleep quality daily
Day 3-5: The Adjustment
- Withdrawal symptoms begin to fade
- Many patients report the first noticeable improvements: reduced bloating, fewer headaches, better sleep
- Focus on simple, single-ingredient meals to keep variables clear
- If a Green-rated food seems to cause a reaction, note it and discuss with your CLT
Day 6-7: Early Results
- By the end of week 1, most patients notice measurable symptom reduction
- Energy levels typically begin improving
- Digestive symptoms often show the earliest improvement
- Continue your symptom journal โ the data helps your CLT fine-tune your plan
Week 2: Days 8-14 โ Deepening the Calm
Day 8-10
- Continue eating from your Green list only
- You may start to feel significantly better โ this is the “calm” in ImmunoCalm
- Migraine patients often notice reduced frequency or intensity by this point
- IBS patients frequently report normalized bowel function
Day 11-14
- Your immune system has had 10+ days without trigger exposure
- Systemic inflammation markers should be decreasing
- This is your new baseline โ the state your body should feel in
- Schedule your Phase 2 planning session with your CLT
Meal Building Strategy
With only 20-25 foods available, meal planning requires creativity. Here’s the framework:
The Formula: Protein + Starch + Vegetable + Fat
Build every meal around this structure using ONLY your Green-rated foods:
- Protein โ Choose from your safe proteins (e.g., chicken, turkey, fish, eggs โ depending on your results)
- Starch โ Your safe grains or starchy vegetables (e.g., rice, potato, sweet potato, quinoa)
- Vegetable โ Any Green-rated vegetables (e.g., zucchini, carrots, lettuce, cucumber)
- Fat โ Your safe cooking fats (e.g., olive oil, coconut oil, butter โ if dairy is Green)
Seasoning Without Triggers
Many commercial seasonings contain MRT-tested chemicals (MSG, citric acid, anti-caking agents). During ImmunoCalm:
- Use only single-ingredient spices that are on your Green list (e.g., salt, individual herbs)
- Avoid pre-mixed seasonings, sauces, and marinades
- Check our product database โ search for any seasoning to see its MRT trigger profile
Common Questions During ImmunoCalm
What if I accidentally eat a Yellow or Red food?
Don’t panic. Note it in your symptom journal, track any reactions over the next 72 hours, and return to your Green foods. One exposure doesn’t reset the entire process, but it may cause a temporary symptom flare.
What if I’m not feeling better after 14 days?
Contact your CLT. Possible reasons include: a Green-rated food is still causing a reaction (rare but possible), non-food triggers (stress, environmental), or the need to extend ImmunoCalm by a few more days.
Can I eat out during ImmunoCalm?
It’s strongly recommended to prepare all meals at home during the first 14 days. Restaurant food contains hidden ingredients (oils, seasonings, sauces) that make it impossible to control your exposure.
What happens after Day 14?
You transition to Phase 2: Systematic Reintroduction. Your CLT will guide you through adding one new food every 72 hours, starting with remaining Green foods and then carefully introducing Yellow-rated items.
