ASSORTED JORDAN ALMONDS
MRT 176 Panel Triggers Identified
Clinical Product Assessment
MRT 176 Panel Safety Assessment
Clinical Narrative
Assorted Jordan Almonds contain at least 11 MRT-tested substances. The product is composed of a nut base (Almond) with a candy coating typically made from Cane Sugar, Wheat flour, and Corn-derived starches/syrups. The ‘Assorted’ nature of the product involves multiple synthetic FD&C colorants (Red 3, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1, Blue 2) which are all specific chemical triggers on the MRT panel. Due to the high number of triggers and the inclusion of multiple synthetic dyes, this product is unsuitable for the early phases of the LEAP protocol.

Understanding These Triggers
Tree nut tested individually on the MRT panel. Almond flour and almond milk are common substitutes in elimination diets โ verify your personal MRT results before using.
Cane sugar sensitivity is specific to sugarcane-derived sweeteners and is distinct from glucose intolerance. Look for it in ingredient lists as sucrose, cane juice, or turbinado sugar.
A major grain trigger distinct from celiac disease. MRT measures inflammatory mediator release to wheat protein, not IgE-mediated gluten allergy. Found in bread, pasta, and many processed foods.
Corn derivatives are among the hardest triggers to avoid. Found as corn syrup, cornstarch, modified food starch, dextrose, maltodextrin, and citric acid in thousands of processed products.
Tapioca (cassava-derived starch) is MRT-tested. Increasingly used as a gluten-free thickener, in boba tea, puddings, and as modified food starch. Common in allergen-free baking.
Brilliant Blue FCF is a synthetic food dye tested on the MRT chemical panel. Found in candy, beverages, ice cream, and some processed foods. Often combined with Yellow #5 to create green coloring.
What This Means For Your Diet
With 11 identified triggers, this product has a high concentration of MRT-tested substances. The probability that at least one of these triggers is reactive on your personal panel is statistically significant.
This product is not recommended during Phase 1 (Elimination) or Phase 2 (Reintroduction). It may only be considered during Phase 3 (Maintenance) after your Certified LEAP Therapist has confirmed that all 11 substances scored Green on your individual MRT results.
Products with 3 or more MRT panel triggers require individualized evaluation. Do not attempt to self-assess โ your CLT has the clinical training to weigh multiple reactive substances and potential cross-reactivity.
