MRT 176 Panel Safety Assessment
Clinical Narrative
Analysis of this product identifies 7 unique MRT-tested substances: Cane Sugar (from sugar and sugarcane fiber), Wheat (from enriched and whole wheat flour), Canola/Rapeseed (canola oil), Soybean (soybean oil), Egg White and Egg Yolk (from whole eggs and egg whites), and Glycerin/Glycerol (vegetable glycerin). The presence of ‘natural flavor’ further complicates the safety profile as it may hide additional reactive substances. Given the high trigger count and the inclusion of multiple reactive food categories (grains, proteins, and chemical additives), this product is classified as High Risk and is only appropriate for Phase 3 maintenance under practitioner guidance.

Understanding These Triggers
Cane sugar sensitivity is specific to sugarcane-derived sweeteners and is distinct from glucose intolerance. Look for it in ingredient lists as sucrose, cane juice, or turbinado sugar.
A major grain trigger distinct from celiac disease. MRT measures inflammatory mediator release to wheat protein, not IgE-mediated gluten allergy. Found in bread, pasta, and many processed foods.
Canola oil (derived from rapeseed) is an MRT-tested substance. It is one of the most common cooking oils in processed foods and restaurant cooking. Look for it in fried foods, dressings, and baked goods.
Soy-derived ingredients appear in a wide range of processed foods including soy lecithin, soybean oil, and textured soy protein. One of the most prevalent hidden triggers.
Egg white protein (albumin) is a common MRT trigger. It appears in baked goods, mayonnaise, and many processed foods. Egg yolk is tested separately on the MRT panel.
Egg yolk is tested independently from egg white on the MRT panel. Some patients react to one but not the other. Common in baked goods, sauces, and enriched pastas.
Glycerin is a chemical additive tested on the MRT panel. Used as a humectant and sweetener in protein bars, toothpaste, medications, and processed foods. Can be derived from plant or animal fats.
What This Means For Your Diet
With 7 identified triggers, this product has a high concentration of MRT-tested substances. The probability that at least one of these triggers is reactive on your personal panel is statistically significant.
This product is not recommended during Phase 1 (Elimination) or Phase 2 (Reintroduction). It may only be considered during Phase 3 (Maintenance) after your Certified LEAP Therapist has confirmed that all 7 substances scored Green on your individual MRT results.
Products with 3 or more MRT panel triggers require individualized evaluation. Do not attempt to self-assess — your CLT has the clinical training to weigh multiple reactive substances and potential cross-reactivity.
