Risk Distribution
How products containing Lecithin (Soy) break down by total trigger count:
Soy lecithin is found in 14% of all grocery products in our database โ approximately 2,900 items. It is one of the 27 chemical additives specifically tested on the MRT 176 panel, separate from soybean itself.
Lecithin is used as an emulsifier โ it keeps fats and water from separating. You’ll find it in chocolate, baked goods, margarine, salad dressings, and dietary supplements. It’s also a common ingredient in non-stick cooking sprays, which many LEAP clients don’t think to check.
Because soy lecithin is tested separately from soybean on the MRT panel, you can react to one without reacting to the other. However, many clients are reactive to both.
